Built by a high Hindu priest from East Java in the 11th century, this beautiful temple is located atop a limestone cliff towering 90 meters above the Indian Ocean. Flying south past Jimbaran Bay and Dreamland surfing beach, view this ancient temple and then continue over deserted beaches, seaweed farms and limestone cliffs. Before turning north and returning to the airport, the flight will pass the famous Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue.

Helicopter - Flight Duration Approx. 30 minutes - maximum of 4 passengers.

Flight of the Temples Coastline Flight – A panoramic flight over the west and south coasts of Bali that highlight the beaches of Kuta and Legian, the iconic Tanah Lot temple, and remarkable rice terraces of West Bali. Tanah Lot temple dates from 1481 AD and is situated in the ocean, only reachable from land at low tide. The temple has a reputation for being dangerous, partly due to the many poisonous snakes that live in the surrounding caves. It is believed by the locals that these snakes are protectors of the temple, guarding it from intruders. The flight also includes over flight of the southern
Bukit Peninsula, past Jimbaran Bay and Dreamland surf beach. Then the pilot brings you to the ancient Uluwatu temple, where the coastline of limestone cliffs, remote beaches and seaweed farms are truly spectacular. This trip is sensational at sunset.

Helicopter - Flight Duration Approx. 42 minutes - maximum of 4 passengers.

Nusa Penida Island Coastal Flight - Following take off, fly directly east over the Straits of Badung and Bali’s nearest island neighbor of Nusa Penida. Arriving at Nusa Penida after 15 minutes of over water flight time, fly low past the island’s beautiful limestone cliffs, following the contours of the coastline until you reach Nusa Ceningan. After flying the straits between these two islands, head back to Bali.

Kintamani Volcano Flight – Fly north to the breathtaking volcanic crater of Mt. Batur, the remains of a huge volcano that exploded thousands of years ago. Lake Batur, Bali’s largest lake, is situated within this crater and is next to a younger, still-active volcano. This small volcano is constantly recreating itself in periodic eruptions of ash and rock. Explore this sometimes-smoking volcano by circling the crater, making a quick turn over Lake Batur before heading south over dramatic river gorges and beautiful rice fields.

Helicopter - Flight Duration Approx. 60 minutes - maximum of 4 passengers.

Deluxe Kintamani - and Agung Volcano and Besakih Temple Flight – Bisect the entire island of Bali, west to east, by flying to the breathtaking volcanic crater of Mt. Batur via Tanah Lot Temple. Reach Mt. Batur volcano after 10 minutes of flying over diverse island landscapes. The crater is the remains of a huge explosion that occurred thousands of years ago. Lake Batur, Bali’s largest lake, is situated within this crater, next to a younger still- active volcano. The small volcano is constantly recreating itself in periodic eruptions of ash and rock. We explore this sometimes-smoking volcano by circling the crater. Proceeding east, fly over Lake Batur and past Mt. Agung reaching Besakih temple, Bali’s largest and most sacred temple complex. Climbing to 11,000 ft, to reach the crater of Mt. Agung, see the volcano that erupted in 1963 causing the death of 1,148 people. Upon reaching the top, circle the crater and then start a descent towards Besakih Temple, located at the foot of the mountain. In the distance, Mt. Rinjani on the neighboring island of Lombok is often visible. On the return journey to the
airport, pass numerous rivers, valleys, hotels, villas and verdant rice terraces. Just prior to landing, pass the eastern coastline to see the beaches of Sanur and Benoa harbor.

HISTORIC VOLCANO FLIGHTS

Mt. Rinjani Volcano Tour – Lombok - Famed for its beauty and isolation, Lombok’s Mt. Rinjani is Indonesia's second highest volcano. At 3,726 meters, it towers over Lombok, and boasts a ten-kilometer-wide crater - a habitat with deep gorges, towering walls, hot springs, waterfalls, and a
perfectly shaped volcanic cone. This strato-volcano’s oval-shaped Segara Anak caldera also contains a 230-m-deep lake. The earliest recorded eruption at Rinjani dates back to 1847 when a moderate explosion occurred. The most recent eruption was in October 2004 when smoke and a lava flow were detected.

Helicopter - Flight Duration Approx. 2 hr 40 minutes – 230kg max payload.
Piper Chieftain - Flight Duration Approx. 1 hr 30 minutes – maximum of 6 passengers.

Mt. Tambora Volcano Tour – Sumbawa (includes Mt. Rinjani Volcano) - Visit the volcano that was the location of the largest eruption in recorded history! When Mt. Tambora erupted in 1815, it caused a cataclysmic disaster and the deaths of 90,000 people. This event significantly altered the global climate for years. Universal crop failure occurred, temperatures dropped dramatically all over the world, and living creatures died off in large numbers. After being dormant for 5,000 years, Mt. Tambour woke up and over a ten-day period, unleashed its anger in an eruption that generated a volcanic column 40km high. This blast was heard over 1,000 kilometers away. The long-term effects of Mt. Tambour’s eruption were felt across the globe. In addition to the large quantities of ash, rocks and dust ejected by the volcano, over 200 million tons of sulfur dioxide gas was propelled into the stratosphere. This had the effect of limiting the amount of sunlight that reached the ground, so that temperatures, particularly across the Northern Hemisphere, began to fall dramatically. India’s monsoon season was interrupted, possibly leading to a deadly outbreak of cholera that insinuated its way across the globe. Europe experienced widespread crop failures just as it was recovering from the effects of the Napoleonic Wars. Ireland had its first great famine fueling a mass migration by the Irish to America. Devastating floods hit China. In North America, 1816 is remembered as "the year without a summer", when snow fell during June and frost was still widespread during the month of July.

Piper Chieftain - Flight Duration Approx. 2 hr 40 minutes – maximum of 6 passengers.

Mt. Bromo Volcano Flight - Mt. Bromo, on the island of Java, is one of Indonesia's most active volcanoes. It is part of the Tengger massif, and even at 2,392 meters it is not the highest peak of the massif, but it happens to be among the most well known. Mount Bromo rises 133 meters above the caldera and is 700 meters wide. It has erupted more than 60 times since 1767.

Piper Chieftain - Flight Duration Approx. 2 hr 30 minutes – maximum 6 passengers.

PICNIC FLIGHTS
